It is finally here!  The Livescribe Pulse Smartpen is a tool that keeps the pen lover in mind.  Not only is it absolutely gorgeous, but they have completely considered our plight.  How many times have you been in the middle of an interview and completely forgotten an important fact like a name or website.  You don't want to be rude and ask the person to repeat themselves, but you need the information.  Well now you can just make a star or a little note to remind yourself to listen to the recording.

The Livescribe comes with a notebook that works like a desktop.  When you click on the paper the recording will play back exactly where you made your note.  This is only the beginning.  Bear with me as I attempt to review the features without salivating.

There is the software and internet package that provides a space where you can upload your information and share with friends.  But before you dread over having to join yet another social site, there is also software that allows you to transfer your written data to printed text called MyScribe.  Some have expressed concerns over the cost of having to purchase the dot paper notebook refills; but there is an answer for that too.  You can print your own paper on your printer.  It also comes with a case, 3 black ink cartridges and a stylus cartridge.  Bet you didn't know it was also a nifty companion for your smartphone.  Oh and I can't forget to mention the calculator, time, date, and future addition of translator software.
