Here are a few links, tips and ideas to help you through your shopping woes.
Buy smart gifts.
Listen to TSE from Nov. 27 to hear smart shopping tips, affordable gift ideas and more. The best way to give the perfect gift is to ask the person what they want. You can also take note of what is going on in their life. Pay for a class, invest in a business, or buy government bonds. Better Me, Inc. offers coaching, marketing, and training services that you can give to help someone get their business off the ground. Visit our solutions page to find out more.
Shop for gift cards.
When you can't find what you are looking for or you suddenly realize that your $25 gift limit won't get you very far on a gift at the Galleria you will eventually settle on a random gift card at the last store you land in. One of the top rules to smart shopping is being proactive rather than reactive. Make a gift card list for primary and secondary gift ideas, then visit our gift card page to buy gift cards from your favorite merchants.
Give the gift of technology.
Don't leave your friends, family and coworkers in the dark this year. Give them a gift you know they will use like Internet service, smart phones, domain names, and hosting service. These are the crucial things needed to communicate, plan and organize your business and family events and information. Review your gift list and check it twice, get everyone online to make life convenient in the New Year.
Shop within your network.
This year plan to support businesses that are in your network. Your personal network includes friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and yourself most important. Small business owners will be more than happy with a purchase and a happy holiday’s card. Within your network get into the business. Do you know anyone that is involved in a network marketing company? Don’t forget that network marketers are small business owners, and it can be hard for them with stipulations on the way they can advertise. The companies are names like Mary-Kay, YTB and ACN. Be sure to check The Network for handmade objects like blankets scarves and jewelry. Please don’t forget yourself, give yourself something that can benefit you throughout the year.
Good Day.
...consider this your 12 Step Recovery Program if you are; and if you aren't no need to be offended.
There are people who need help, that don't even know it...for basic things like getting a decent job, treating their family members with love instead of hatred, racism, integrity and other blatently obvious things that to some seem like common human desency.
Again if the shoe doesn't fit, take it off. But on the other hand if you have been accused of being a porch monkey, you must look deep within yourself and be willing to change.
The President Elect needs help changing this country. How will he do it without a mass of leaders who are willing to step up to the plate and take responsibility for themselves, their families, communities and any random person they have the opportunity to influence.
If you don't like the term, oh well. It was the most appropriate and least offensive thing we could come up with to convey this sindrome.
Unfortunately for this definition I was not satisfied with my trusty Wikipedia resource so I had to go to the urban dictionary. Here is what it says:
| 1. | porch monkey | |
|
A person who sits on the porch and watches the neighbors.
A small child that enjoys being on the porch. And what can I get for you, little porch monkey? Oh its okay, I'm taking it back.
porch monkey clerks ii nigger nigga slang racial slurs slurs cracker cracka coon

A derogatory for a person of african or african american decent. BUT it could also mean a generally lazy person. This term came to be when you think of african americans sitting on there porch chatting it up. Also in the movie Clerks II, the sequal to Clerks, Randal tries to reclaim it as a new term for lazy people. And thus offends several customers and his boss.
*Police Officer sees Porch Monkey 4 Life written on the back of Randal's Mooby Uniform and looks flabbergasted*
Randal: Im taking it back |

Well Randal, we are giving it back to you. And thank you to the directors of Clerks II for clarifying the term.

"A sugar free approach to coaching."
I choose to recognize my emotions behind money.
I choose to have my financial choices determined by who I really am in every fiber of my body.
I choose to let my life control my finances instead of allowing my finances to control my life.
I choose to face my current financial reality.
I choose to follow my desired financial roadmap and let that guide me out of my current financial reality.
I choose to position myself to be lucky.
I choose to love myself enough to live a passionate and purposeful life.
I choose a life of financial abundance and inner peace.

Something to think about:
Recently I got an email about how to cut gas prices; you can read the entire email below.
I wonder if the retired Coca Cola Exec. can shed some light on how to get the price of a Coke back down to 50 cents. One gallon of Coke would cost you between 12 and 16 dollars at current prices. Yes I know he's retired and I am sure he is still collecting stock dividends.
...It's all about perspective.
How about balancing out your gas cost by not drinking any sodas all year long? And let's not even talk about how much a martini or a beer cost. Oh and what about your fragrances. After selling fragrances for several years, trust me when I say, you are overpaying.
...And none of these other liquids can power an automobile.
